It's scary stuff, but not at all surprising. I found the thread about this watch on Global after I posted above. How bad does it have to get for the BOD to kick someone out. Riddle, aka the Riddler, Head of 185 club, one of three kicked out of the NAWCC. Now someone has changed the case and added the box. The rest of the story is that this same watch was recorded by Terry Hall when it first made an appearance on IHC 185. The box was used for Swiss reproduction 992b's that were 17j watches.

The #2 is similar in appearance, but with a different bow. Just on the surface, it is in a #17 case which was contemporary to the mvt. Is that the problem that you're seeing, Stephan? I don't think that #2 cases were still available new in 1970.
